Re: please help me Ubuntu Utopic 14.10 No Bluetooth Adapter

Is the bluetooth adapter built-in to the laptop, or as it seems, are you using a usb bluetooth adapter that you plugin? What is the model of bluetooth adapter? Have you also tried installing the "blueman" package from the Ubuntu Software Center? Also, do you actually have Ubuntu installed to the hard drive, or are you operating it from a USB-Flash-Stick?

Re: please help me Ubuntu Utopic 14.10 No Bluetooth Adapter

Now my bluetooth is working. I try reinstall
    Code:
    sudo apt-get install --reinstall linux-headers-generic build-essential
After that, compile and install the driver as follows -
    1) Download the latest backported driver package from here - http://drvbp1.linux-foundation.org/~...tml/backports/
    2) Copy the downloaded tar.bz2 package to your Ubuntu Desktop > Right-click > Extract here.
    3) Open a terminal and run the following commands one-by-one
    Code:
    cd Desktop/backports-3.18-rc1-1
    make defconfig-ath9k
    make
    sudo make install
    4) Reboot for the newer driver to take effect.

    Now Solved. Thank you bro

Re: Ubuntu Utopic 14.10 No Bluetooth Adapter

I just attempted this fix. Upon reboot, bluetooth is not fixed and now my wireless doesn't work. Also, while booting I get an error message that says "failed to load module iwldvm". How do I revert back to what I had before?

I know it is a bit too late but:

1- Navigate to the backport folder
    2- sudo make uninstall
    3- sudo reboot
