On another note .. if you use the /devel option instead of /vivid it will automagically edit Ubuntu.info file.

I beg to differ. Check that because I see on one machine with 15.04 (and it was the same while it was on 14.10) that devel is in that file, on the top, from vanilla install. I might be wrong (again) but I do know for sure that I did not change sources.list on that machine and I'm pretty sure that not one else could have done that...

Checking .....Yes . Correct . That file will create a gtk error. So it has to be the original file as referenced by cariboo.
