Reinstalled OS but Deja Dup restore from backup failed

    Hi,
I just reinstalled my OS Xubuntu 14.04.1 to my machine and can't restore my files from backup.

Is there an alternative to Deja dup that will restore my files?
Do I have to restore from my clonezilla image and re-run the backup with another tool?
What is the best backup tool for Xubuntu 14.04?

    Background:
Previously I was running Xubuntu 12.04 and rather than upgrade to 14.04, decided to reinstall, all done without a problem.
Prior to the upgrade I was using Deja Dup for backups.
Although I've installed Deja Dup from the Ubuntu software centre onto this 14.04 system, it doesn't appear anywhere in the menu system and isn't found in the application search.

    Thanks in advance!

    Thanks for your help.
For some reason deja dup doesn't appear in the menu and I had to run it from the command line, but seems it worked!
I'll look at your suggestion for a backup tool.
    Thanks again.
