edit. btw I'm not in a hurry since Virtualbox didn't work with any version of 3.17 I've tried, it's likely it doesn't work with this either, 3.16.* is flawless regarding Vbox!

Kernel.org finally updated, sometime in the last 1.5 hours.
I am just starting to use a 3.18rc1 that I compiled. It'll be hours before I have further comment, if any.

HeadsUp: 999&994 have some issues, not yet had time to sort that out but it seems they might not boot.
Update₁: That might have to be because of: http://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/ker...65776555e0ee47
Update₂: No, that patch has not propagated yet to mainline.

Found the ,999 kernel did not boot, rc1 boots and runs altho it seems to have a lag in graphics (intel). 3.17 final is good on this setup. Will play around with it some more. Only trying the new kernel on my utopic gnome partition.

Installed 3.18-rc1, yesterday morning.

Ran perfectly for 7.5 hours, then hard-locked. Couldn't even do a REISUB. Powered-off and rebooted. Worked fine the rest of the night.

Booted into 3.18-rc1 again, this morning. Lasted 50 minutes before it hard-locked. Had to use the power button again.

Anxiously awaiting 3.18-rc2, before I try it again

3.18-rc1 runs very nice.
999 still lands in BusyBox (initramfs prompt) with today's edition.
