Screen capture package that will switch between screen and webcam?

I've done lots of homework on this but still no success. Are there any current packages available that can be used to do screen capture, for example to make tutorials while demonstrating how some command-line statistical software works, while recording audio from an external mic. It would also be very nice to switch back to capture attached webcam to talk to the camera.

I thought this would be well covered but as yet not found it. If it has point me to the link and apologies.

    Thanks

    J

For screen captures there are many tools. I use Imagemagick and the "import" tool for screen capture. There are probably GUI tools for that too. Not my style.

I suspect you really want video capture. ffmpeg, avconv, recordmydesktop, and a few other options come to mind. Nixie Pixel makes youtube videos using some tool that I can't recall. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EjbtlzOY7S4

It is possible to mux audio recorded with audacity with video later using most video editors like avidemux later.
