Spilled the Beans
My youtube doesn't play well. It pauses. My connection speed is good enough. My other computer will play it smoothly. My computer with ubuntu on it only has 2 gig of memory but I thought that should be enough. It's a dell dimension 3100. Is there something I should download to make youtube play better?

google-chrome has the most up to date flash.

You may try the HTML5 in youtube. I think flash is not well supported on Linux. I've 4 gigs of RAM, quad core processor and a dedicated graphic card. Playing youtube video consumes about 40-50 percent of processor resources. Flash decoding done on processor rather than graphic card.
