Anti Spyware etc

Morning all
I have been unable to find any posts on internet security / anti virus etc. It appears to me that what i read before becoming a convert about linux not needing these is true. Am i right to be assuming this? Thanks

Dunno Noel,,,, With all the news about GCHQ and the NSA and their snooping techniques, I personally wouldn't be at all surprised if there is some sort of covert spyware for Linux out there.. Being as the internet uses a vast amount of servers running Linux OS's, servers would be the main target for these security agencies.. (stands ready to be shot down in flames)
