how to use lighting in makehuman

hello, I am new to the software makehuman, but when I render my creation it shows a totally black figure, with no lighting on it.

when I choose a lighting scene, indeed there is light cast upon the character, but when I render, the figure is dark again...

They have a forum on the link. Perhaps you might find some joy there. They'd certainly be a lot more Makehuman guru's there.
