Ubuntu 10.04 Firefox 403 error message when installing

Hey, I'm a very new ubuntu user, and I'm trying to figure out how to use it. I connected it to the internet using an ethernet cable, but I'm unable to install the program Steam. It says "Forbidden" You don't have permission to access /steam/archive/precise/steam_latest.deb on this server.

Apache.2.2.22 (Ubuntu) Server at repo.steampowered.com Port 80

I have a vague knowledge of using the terminal, but I wouldn't consider it anything. Can anyone help me install this? It's supposed to be the linux version of the software. That's the same right?

Why are you using Ubuntu 10.04? It has expired long time ago. Get a current version 12.04 or 14.04.

I doubt you'll have any luck with 10.04 because the desktop version has already reached EOL and even the server version has less than a year of life left:

Probably best to grab 14.04 and start fresh

Hi there.
All of the above, and also:
When you've got your shiny & new Ubuntu 14.04 ticking over, install the Steam client from Software Centre & not the install link doodad on the Steam website.
