Random LiveCD Hanging Imac G5 PPC 14.04

Hey, could anyone help me out here, I have a issue where when im running the live cd, during the install or other random times the screen freezes. any suggestions.
i can boot into the cd fine with yaboot, but when i get the desktop gui, its gets slow and just bad, if you want any more info just ask,

Hi, i have a G5 quad and I burn the image (desktop iso) on a very used and reused and rewrited DVDR but a slowest possible write speed and everything is ok
Do you burn the image on a dvd? because the cd is not capient for the livecd

Umm... strange , can be a player problem or the dvd support exausted? if this go random i think there isnt other alternatives..
I forget to mention some time some players dont like some brands ..
Example my Imac dont like the intenso brands and my G5 dont like the nec ...
If i burn the intenso with my imac the dvd is not playable in the imac but run on other machines ?_?
