    Question Can't install ffmpeg

Would anyone know why I can't install ffmpeg? I've tried both with and without specialized PPAs added to my repo list. Also tried the Saucy repos, but no luck. I just get an error regarding unmet dependencies (please see the attached).

Solved (I think). Compiled from source using this guide, and all seems to be running well. Make sure to reboot after compiling.

    Re: Can't install ffmpeg

Question: Now that I have compiled ffmpeg by hand and have it up and running, do I need to repeat the process with every new version, or can I now add one of the PPA repositories and update that way?
