    How to scan for Wifi?

    Hi,

I'm lost with the Wi-fi interface.

How do I plain simple scan for wi-fi, select the one I want and give its password??

    Thanks

Hello and welcome to the forums

What version of Ubuntu are you running? what desktop? If wireless is enabled, most desktops have an icon like a fan in the indicator area which will list the visible network SSIDs if you click on it. If wireless is disabled it may look like an up/down arrow (indicating a wired connection).
