People get hung up on an actual release date and release time; I understand it's exciting to see 14.04 actually "finished", but isn't it more exciting to realise you can download it early?

It is, but then it upsets -

When it's released it's released. Really is quite boring to have people ask the same thing every 6 months - a search will likely get you many many many threads and posts saying

it will be released when it's released

- this guy.

I love the interest in this fashion every six months, and the ensuing fuss on the forum. Granted I don't have to deal with it, but I think it's a good sign of Ubuntu's popularity. I suppose the quick answer to it is, you can get it early or wait till the final. Either way you'll be good for five years from now.

Downloading it right now so I have it for later. Good thing I have a re-writable mini-DVD to burn Trusty Tahr onto, a typical CD-R couldn't hold this one.
