As happens, the volume destroy and re-create decided not to play ball... just done a force.... It will still be 30th April to expect a test ISO ... Bodhi was correct.... 14.05 for me

    Keep the faith,

There seems to have been some changes to the pain of my life.... graphics on virt-manager.... The VM has built and is updating.. next up will install build essentials etc.

    Be patient

    It now needs testing...

do remember that you may need all of the three for it to work

    1. The md5sum of the iso file matches, but the check at the boot meny complains that the file ./isolinux/isolinux.bin has a bad md5 checksum. I have seen this behaviour before, and I suspect that you have changed that file without changing the corresponding md5sum. See post #17 in this thread.

    2. The installation seems to work in my fast Toshiba.

    3. The installation finished and a bootable system is installed. The kernel is 3.13.0.24-generic. So I suspect it is the standard kernel (not the non-pae kernel).

    4. I will test it in my Thinkpad ...

    5. The installation finished and a bootable system is installed. The kernel is 3.13.0.24-generic and it is a pae kernel, giving 36 bits physical address size.

Which three? Do you mean all three kernel files? The iso file, once downloaded correctly, should be enough?

If you're doing builds based on the non-pae kernel, then you need the three .debs. If you are doing ISO testing, then the ISO has them installed.... Well, hopefully

Still got the CD not mounted error... back to digging......

Strange! I did not get any 'CD not mounted error'. But as far as I understand, there was no non-pae kernel, only the standard pae kernel - for me in your iso file that was uploaded early this morning (May 2). But I see that you have uploaded new versions this afternoon (18.54-18.55).

    -o-

Is this your problem? You can create a working iso file with the standard pae kernel, but when you use the non-pae kernel, you get the 'CD not mounted error'.

This appears to be the issue, I've asked bodhi to look into it... His time is limited, so I'm not going to beat myself up over it. The things I've tried, he says should work... So, it's been passed 'upstream'. Can you check the newly built kernel work okay with your variant...

    Regards,

    Phill.

Yes I can check your kernels, but not immediately, because I'm not at home now.
