Joli OS Install Problem - White Screen with Toshiba satellite pro 6100

I've read a recent thread (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2122179) about the fact JoliOs 1.2 install ends up into a blank screen on Toshiba Satellite pro 6100. It would be a great plaform with a 1.8 Ghz CPU and 1 GB of RAM. Unfortunately, this laptop uses a Nividia GeForce4 420 Go. Initially, it was detecting NVIDIA with the little monitors at the center, then turned into garbled gray forever. It looks like this display card is not compatible.

All attempts to correct the problem failed, even recovery mode.

I will wait for version 1.3 to try again, if it is ever released.

JoliOS has been discontinued in December 2013. See(http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2013/11/j...-december-2013)

You can still download it on the Jolidrive website but there is no longer any updates and support.

I recommand that you try Lubuntu (http://lubuntu.net/) or Peppermint OS (http://peppermintos.com/) These are lightweight linux distro and works great for cloud computing. Your laptop will have some breath.
