how can i have a screensaver (xscreensaver) and still use light locker for login? i know screensaver only waste power and it is better to just turn the screen off i like how pretty they are, and i am using a tv for a monitor so i have to hit the power button to turn it on again

OK ... So you'll not get anything other than a blank screen with light-locker, what you'll need to do is remove light-locker and use xscreensaver. Small point, light-locker is for locking the screen, lightdm-gtk-greeter for login.
