    Upgrade question

I am running 13.04 on a computer in my exercise room just for watching
Netflix, no email no web browsing nothing but Netflix. To run this one application
would there be any advantage to upgrading to 13.10 I am looking for a simple
    yes or no.

Yes as 13.04 has reached it's end of life.

    Re: Upgrade question

Will it suddenly quit on me. If so it may be
more cost effective if I value my time to replace
this computer with a streaming video device and
    junk the computer.

    Loaded question LOL
14.04 will be coming out in a month, it will be a LTS version which will last for sometime.
I'm not a big believer in updating from one version to another but it seems to be happening with little problems now as before.

    Re: Upgrade question

I just tried the 14.04 pre release daily build for my other computer a duel core
AMD. I had hi hopes for that but it couldn't find my mouse so I tried a usb
mouse still no luck. And yes I picked the version for the AMD processor.

No such version as one for just the amd processor.
    AMD64 means 64-bit.
    (likewise i386 means 32-bit)
That'll run on either intel or amd.
    It's a legacy naming convention.

    Alpha/beta ubuntu versions are unstable.

They are for people who have real terminal and repair skills, which you clearly don't have.
