Unable to boot osx after dual booting Ubuntu.

Hi I tried dual booting Ubuntu using bootcamp(partitioning) using a USB. I was able to get Ubuntu running but when I tried to switch back to my osx it gave me a black screen. When I restart my laptop I am given a few option to boot (Ubuntu, osx 32bit and osx 64bit). Both the 32bit and 64bit show a black screen with a beeping sound. I am pretty sure I still have my documents from osx and when I check the utility disk there are indeed two partitions but for some reason I just cant boot osx.

Also I downloaded refit before installing Ubuntu but I no longer see it when I restart my computer (even when I press alt/option key). Any help would be appreciated, Thanks!

I believe you will find this thread useful. You need to boot into OSX (CD or recovery mode) and reinstall refind.

If it isn't, the same questions may apply - i.e. did you install in EFI or BIOS - does the file/sys/firmware/efi exist in Ubuntu?
