    Old Ubuntu style with Unity

I am running Ubuntu 12.04 (plans to upgrade to 14.04 when it is out) and am feeling nostalgic of the "old" Ubuntu; Human icons, multi-color logo, old wallpapers, etc. I am thinking of the Ubuntu before it went "purple" and the monochrome icon.

Is there already a theme I can install which does this (why re-invent the wheel) ?

If not, how can I go about changing the Ubuntu logo (which opens the dash) into the multi-color logo/icon and possibly change the top panel's color?

I assume that the Human icon theme is still available and the wallpapers can be collected via Google (I already have a bunch of them downloaded).

So, I guess there are no retro-themes and nobody knows how to change the ubuntu icon to the multi-color one?

You want to give Unity the old gnome look. You may well be the only one on the planet that wants to do this

    Have you searched gnome-look.org?

    Wallpapers - old logo - https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=ol...w=1049&bih=521

    Humanity - icons - https://www.google.co.uk/search?clie...tu+Human+icons

I searched through the gnome-look.org ..... many variations - but none seem to keep to the original design - even going back as
far as 2009 .......... back to 2008 there are the really old logo ....
    but multi-coloured

    not mono ......

Interesting going back through the evolution of logos and themes though ..... managed to pick some out that I like on the travel
    back to the past.

Don't know much about the rest of this, but that icon in the /usr/share/unity folder.
(It's in one of those sub-folder, 5 or themes on precise, newer versions of Ubuntu have different subfolders)

the file though, is called launcher_bfb.png

You can change it to any thing.
Once in a very very long while an update might come that resets that folder.
    But that is really rare.

Attached is what it looked like when I signed on for Ubuntu. Also an "improved" version since I never did care much for orange.
