    Re: installing fonts

Can you post a link to where you downloaded the file or to the zip file ............
Just so we can see what is inside of it ...........

Then we can give a step by step maybe - as one of us can do the install to see if any
    problems arise.

I just tried with the finger paint one - double click the archive to open it.

Then double click on the font ............ a window should pop up and go to the top right click install

Then it should be available to all apps .............

    Re: installing fonts

welcome and sorry my writing is not so good with the mouse ...........

But double click to open the archive

    Then double click the text

Then press the install button that I have highlighted in red .......... that should do it
    I think

    Code:
This should not be needed - but just incase your installation is missing it for any reason .....

If the font viewer does not show up when double clicking it - then make sure it is installed
by opening a terminal and typing this line in ............

    sudo apt-get install gnome-font-viewer
Then go into the application and choose the font to use ..........

    Re: installing fonts SOLVED

You are a star the code was extremely helpful as my font viewer was not installed, once I did that, then I did just what those excellent screenshots showed and the fonts were easy to install.

Thank you so much for the help and patience. My book will look so great now & this is why I am such an Ubuntu fan.
