I recently installed ubuntu alongside my Windows 8. Grub failed to load so I was told you try boot-repair. I reinstalled grub as suggested. However, it seems to have corrupted my partion and I'm unable to load into Ubuntu or Windows now.

When I boot on top of screen it says "GNU Grub version ....."(approximately)

then it says "Minimal BASH-like line editing is supported.(also says about Tab)"
then grub prompt.

I really really appreciate any help. Thank you in advance.
