Hello, I am writing a bash script to backup some of my home directory and some other directories on my Desktop, however I cant seem to get it find my directories in the Desktop Folder which in my case is "Phone Sync" this is what I have so far and maybe you can see what I've done wrong

Code:
#!/bin/shclear
echo "#####################################"
echo "#           Backup Script           #"
echo "#####################################"
echo
echo

# What to backup
backup_files="/home/james/Documents /home/james/Desktop/Home\ Sync/ /home/james/Desktop/Phone\ Sync/"

# Where to backup to

dest="/media/Media-Backup/tempbak"

day=$(date +%A)
hostname=$(hostname -s)
archive_file="$hostname-$day.tgz"

# Print status message
echo "Backing up! $backup_files to $dest/$archive_file"
date
echo

tar -czf $dest/$archive_file $backup_files --verbose

ls -lh $dest
and this is the output and the error messages
