When trying to open Rosetta Stone with Wine I get the following error message:

could be that rosetta stone will just not work with wine. not all do.

I am using Ubuntu 12.04 and Rosetta Stone version 3.45

According to the WineHQ website, versioon 3.45 gets a low rating because it does not see the microphone. If it were ME rating it based on that flaw, I would have rated it Bronze (or maybe, garbage) -- as what use is a language learning tool that will not listed to what you say and provide feedback?
