    How to remove Gnome

    Hi,

I was wondering how to remove Gnome from my galagoultrapro laptop. I would also like to replace it with another GUI if necessary. It seems to have a bug that I cannot fix.

    yours,

    Tim

You'll need to provide more details about your OS. In general, I'd think that trying to remove "GNOME" could be quite dangerous if you aren't absolutely sure of what you're doing.

    Which gnome?

    Gnome3 (nope, can't do that), gnome-fallback, gnome-shell?

    How did you install it?

    Re: How to remove Gnome

If I were you, I'd probably keep Gnome on the laptop (as ibsjb4 and vasa1 have said, removing it could open a new can of worms).

Maybe just try installing something else, like KDE, LXDE or Xfce on top of Gnome, and choose this as the default when logging in?
