    Writing a manual

I am writing a manual on how to make an extremely lightweight and fast Ubuntu installation.

I am almost complete with the manual, but I feel like it needs more.

What are some common things that Ubuntu tutorials miss or aren't very clear on?

Also, what are some things I should avoid in this manual?
    Things to remember :

    - Comment your code
    - Keep background information and introductions to a minimum

    Re: Writing a manual

See the links for forum tutorial guidelines and Wiki Guide. I think any method should be tested with more than one computer . There are many guides/tutorials posted on line and many offer no plan of action if things go wrong. Installation guides need to updated as necessary for new releases.

    Re: Writing a manual

Thanks. I did add contact information for if things go wrong. Mainly because I can't think of any situation where things would go wrong in most of the steps.

Also, I only have one computer. Is there a way I could get other people to help test it and give me feedback?

If it doesn't include Ubuntu minimal CD, then you already missed the mark.
