How to make a custom ubuntu iso

hey guys how can i make a custom iso with all the updates and software just like we did with window 7.
in win 7 we can go into audit mode make all changes then sysrep and make image of the drive and later use that newly made .wim file with windows installer.
so can we do the same with ubuntu? Is there any mode like audit mode?

    Thread moved to General Help.

Set up your Ubuntu how you like it then use Remastersys to create an ISO.

    http://remastersys.sourceforge.net/

There is also a GUI you can use to make life easier. Remastersys creates an ISO that can then be burnt to install media like any other regular ISO ... 'cept it's your spin!

You can also boot the new ISO as a virtual machine.

Looks as if remastersys has gone away again, except that the repositories for ubuntu and debian still exist according to the link at sourceforge. There is, however, no more development taking place, so it may be a case of "get it while you can!"
