I don't know if it is turned off. How do I turn it off?
    Right now xev gives me:

    Left 1
    Middle 2
    Right 3
    Wheel left 13
    Wheel right 14
    Wheel up 6
    Wheel down 7
    Up button 4
    Down button 5
    Forward 11
    Back 10
    Thumb 12

To turn off xbindkeys, type this comand into the terminal:
    Code:
    killall xbindkeys
Check to see if you have a file in your home directory with the filename .Xmodmap (enable viewing hidden files). If you do, tell me what's inside it.

The buttons should be something like this:
    Code:
    Left 1
    Middle 2
    Right 3
    Wheel up 4
    Wheel down 5
    Wheel left 6
    Wheel right 7

    Forward 8
    Back 9
    Up button 10 (or 10 + 4)
    Down button 11 (or 11 + 5)
    Thumb 12
1-7 should be in that order, while 8-12 don't have to be in that strict order.

    .Xmodmap says:
    pointer = 1 2 3 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 4 5

I switched the xbindkeysrc entries to b:13 and b:14

I also swithed the click entries to 11 and 10 because of what xev said. Is that right?

I'll reboot and tell you what happens.
I'll also try killing the xbindkeys and reporting what happens.

OK, that was what you already had, right?
If yes, we'll need to change some things around

Um, before we do the xbindkeys, it's best to get Xmodmap sorted out.

    killall xbindkeys gives back:

    xbindkeys:no process killed

I tried xev again, nothing changed.
My substitutions didn't work either. Should I change them back?

Oh, I just noticed, My wheel works as scroll left and right. Doing what the tilt wheel should.

    Making Xmodmap read:

    pointer=1 2 3 4 5 ...

got me the Wheel up & down but the rest still don't work

Good guide, but I have a question. Is there a way to make my left scroll on my tilt wheel function as a middle mouse button? I tried switching them out in xmodmap, but the problem is instead of acting like a press and release it sends a bunch of middle clicks when I hold it down to scroll. Anyone know a way?
