    Yes.
Try the search box at the top of each forum page.

(EDIT: Apologies, that won't work. Thanks to Elfy for the correct information below! )

    No.

That sub-forum has search turned off.

There was talk - some while ago now, about removing completely old information.

We asked the forum community - who didn't want that to happen.

The end result was we archived old threads and made them unsearchable.

    Elfy!

    Thanks for the clarification.

Perhaps, it begs the question (delicately)...why archive something if you can't efficiently use / access what you've archived?

Would "turning on" / deploying "search" for the archive be extremely resource intensive? I ask because I do not know.

    Cheers!

    Re: search the ubuntuforums archive?

The reason the threads were archived and made unsearchable was down to them being for really old versions - and a dose of people not wanting to lose them.

We'll not be going backwards on that I'm afraid.

It is likely that we'll do the same at some point.

Currently we've got visible threads relating to versions of Ubuntu that went EOL almost 6 years ago.

Hope that answers your question - even if it isn't the answer you're looking for.

On a completely personal note I agree with -
why archive something if you can't efficiently use / access what you've archived
I was not part of the moderation team at that point - I voted to remove the things completely.
