Considering it's a 5 year old release I don't think its deliberate. Its probably some automated/bot reporting program they use to flag infringing content wrongly triggering (perhaps they made it report everything that has 'Operating System' in it's description, since for MS OS = windows). I remember that once they asked Google to remove some torrent sites from results, an OS project (probably in the same category as whatever their product was) and their own damn website...
The bot thinks the "8.1" refers to Windows, methinks.
I think this may just be a blunder by microsoft as how many people are downloading a five year old ubuntu relase.

Don't mind me, I'm only passing through.
Once in a blue moon, I'm actually helpful.
It may be a mistake, but it wouldn't surprise me that Microsoft is a little booty-tickled about Ubuntu and Linux.
