I just got a lenovo g500 preloaded with Windows 8. It was horrendous, but I planned to dual boot with ubuntu 13.10. Long story short, ubuntu and windows were successfully installed but boot was messed up. I tried to fix boot using boot repair, which messed things up even more. I could go into windows before by clicking F12. So then, I settled on just wiping out windows all together. I reinstalled ubuntu clicking erase ubuntu. As far as I can tell, it is the only OS on my computer right now. I can boot ubuntu through the F12 menu but not normally. Yes, I ran boot repair again, but that did not help.
I'm getting the "no partition such partition, grub rescue error" when booting up normally.
Boot repair did suggesst I do this: "Please do not forget to make your BIOS boot on sda1/EFI/ubuntu/shimx64.efi file."
What should I do? Thanks.
