How to have Var/WWW connected to domain name?

I have set up Anchor CMS, LAMP, Webmin, PHPMyAdmin and basicly have a server going. But one thing k can't figure out, is how do I connect Var/WWW to a domain name? I can browse to local host, but I want to make my site available to the outside. I have a domain name registered with 1and1. It used to be easy, just use GoDaddys name servers and connect them to 1and1s domain manager. But of course, my server doesn't have proper name servers like hosting companies, so how do I setup my server with a domain name? I'm on Xubuntu 12.04 using LXDE (I know, I know but I didn't have any extra CDs to put Lubuntu on).

Bump. I guess another question would be, how do I map my public IP to var/WWW instead of my router?
