    Unhappy R.A.T 5 mouse not working properly?

    Hi!
    I just started using Ubuntu 13.10 and I love it a lot, but I can't get my Mad Catz R.A.T 5 mouse to work properly. Sometimes when I click it seems to hold down the button instead of just clicking a single time and won't let me click anywhere. If I plug out and then in the mouse again it works fine for a little while. I know that it's nothing wrong with my mouse, because it works perfectly when I use Windows 8. When I instead plug in another mouse, USB or PS/2, it works fine, but of course i want to use my R.A.T 5 mouse. I have tried google it a little bit, but haven't found anything really helpful. Does anyone else have this problem and know how to fix it?

    Maybe a little late, but it can serve others...

    Open a Terminal and do the following.
    sudo gedit /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-cyborgrat5.conf
    Paste it the following, save and close the file.
    Code:
    Section "InputClass"
        Identifier "Mouse Remap"
        MatchProduct "Saitek Cyborg R.A.T.5 Mouse"
        #May also be "Mad Catz Mad Catz R.A.T.5 Mouse" depending on production date.
        MatchDevicePath "/dev/input/event*"
        Option "AccelerationProfile" "1"
        Option "ConstantDeceleration" "5"
        Option "ButtonMapping" "1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 0 0 0"
        Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5 6 7"

    Done! Normally your mouse will work properly as soon as your restart your session (easy way is to reboot).
