Isn't that easily fixed... 3.12 works very nice with radeon and in 13.10...

Not a bad name for the future 14.04-LTS. Looks as though I'd better be prepared for a new Category for "To-watch-out-for's with M5A78L and derivatives in future 14.04-LTS?" (in "Asus Ubuntu Support" as of 18 October 2013, a likely candidate for shift to "Ubuntu +1")...

By switching (only) to Trusty branch at this moment You could lose some of upgrades that are coming for Saucy... Toolchain is expected (as I see) on 24.10. so... It will catch up but...

    Homonym with Tar

It's a mistake to name an operating system something that is a homonym with Tar.

That is bad luck, IMO, as tar is what most animals get stuck in, never to emerge, and die.

One of the biggest tourist attractions in Los Angeles is the La Brea Tar Pits, in which hundreds of ice age animals (sabre tooth tigers, woolly mammoths) got stuck in the tar and were excavated millenia later.

Is that the image of the next (K)Ubuntu version that must come to my mind each time I pronounce the name? I realise it's supposed to be a long-term version, but... really?

In a world in which most people can't spell English words anyway (look no farther than the Ubuntu help website (https://help.ubuntu.com/) where Salamander is spelled Salemander), homonyms are extremely important to consider. Trusty Tahr ("Trusty Tar") is a mistake. Naming it that really gets my goat.

Oh well, "whatever floats your goat":

Right now the killer is being surrounded by a web of deduction, forensic science,
and the latest in technology such as two-way radios and e-mail.
