Holy shite, i bought it but now realize I am going to have trouble fitting it where my steam games get installed to. Currently it's my ~/.steam folder which is on it's own partition but that partition only has about 5GB left. I bought the game BUT will have to figure out how to move my steam library to another drive or partition. You think it would play ok on a NFS shared drive?

I don't know about that. I will say that the Windows program is nearly as large (according to the devs), and also, is this the first game to use the Linux Unreal 3 engine?

The first one was Dungeon Defenders: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kqt2XdHxpCg

Also, I would be much more happy if the original would be ported, because, judging by the videos, the H&D version doesn't seem to be well optimized. The original in Wine might be much faster -> FPS really matters in this game.

Well, being able to move around in the game and to have responsive mouse buttons, I would venture, is even more important. In other words, the game loads, is responsive to mouse clicks in the menu, but when the campaign actually starts, you cannot move or use the mouse buttons. You can look around, and it looks and sounds terrific. If only...

I have started the game from a terminal and bash highlighted a number of script warnings, which I posted on the official Linux beta bug report forum at Nordic Games. My post from yesterday hasn't been replied to, but it's Saturday.

EDIT: Boy, is my face red; it turns out you have to point the aiming reticle at three red lights before you can move. The game runs very well indeed for a beta.
