OK to install 13.10 and update?

If I download the daily build today and install it, will I have to re install it on the 17th? Or will updates and bug fix's roll out to me too?

Keep updating and you'll have the finished release. No need to reinstall on the 17th.

no if you keep updating you would have the finished version of 13.10. imho i would wait until the final comes out this thursday; there are still some major bugs.

I'm still have a few bugs yet with a full Intel system. I would wait a few weeks at least.

I am on the daily build from today of Xubuntu and have been all day, beside the hang up with the volume control everything has been fine. I tired the relase of Ubuntu and can't deal with Unity and it's shopping links and a ton of sites in the dash. I know you can turn off the web-based part but you still have to deal with Unity.

Not to get off topic...but xubuntu has a dock on the bottom and unity has a dock on the left and essentially work in the same manner...
And you can turn off the online searches in the "dash" in like a few seconds...xubuntu is a fine alternative but to me operational wise...not much difference really...

I spent a few hours distro hopping today, I still don't care for the offical ubuntu and it's unity, for more reason then it's Dash, it's slow and not smooth plus I don't want a two web browers. However GNOME runs very smoothly and very fast. I love the UI and it's a good toss up between GNOME and Xubuntu.

Edit: I am on the 15th daily build for GNOME, and all seems well.

What two web browsers do you have?

Or think you would have with unity.

Only one real brower Firefox but the dash and unity feel like a web browser. I don't care for were dash and unity is headed.
