BluRay disks, easy way to determine if disk is 'BD+' copy protected?

    Hello

I have 12.04 installed along with VLC player (not 2.1, but 2.0 variant).

I followed the instructions to play BluRay movies here:
    http://www.webupd8.org/2012/08/how-t...s-working.html

The install seemed to go well, but when I play Kill Bill 2 bluray, the video and audio is all jumbled.

The above instructions state: "(it doesn't work for Blu-rays that use BD+). "

I suspect my Kill Bill 2 DVD is BD+; but how to confirm?
Are there BD+ specific files that show up in a file folder? Or is it as simple as an icon that is on the packaging? The only icon on the box I saw was like this:

Any help would be appreciated. I just wish to watch bluray movies on my Asus EB1503 that is connected to my TV. I am not interested in ripping, copying or anything else.
