I am currently using Ubuntu 13.04 on my Samsung laptop with AMD switchable graphics and intel (6490m/hd2000). I use the proprietary fglrx from AMD's website. But I've read that kernel 3.11 comes with many new features for AMD cards and will support switchable graphics.

So will I be able to use the open source graphics drivers without fglrx and achieve the same functionality as by now? I am not using the dedicated card, but the internal for temperature and battery reasons. Did anyone try this?

Thanks in advance.
