    What exactly is your question?
    If you are wanting to upgrade the Android os, that has nothing to do with Ubuntu, you should ask in an Android forum.
    Or are you wanting to install Ubuntu on your tablet?

    ...though I don't know the OP's answer, this may be a proper question for this forum. Some Android upgrades are done through a cable attached to a computer which runs an app on the computer's host OS. Since such apps are almost all built exclusively for Windows, the OP is asking what can be done in Ubuntu.

    @OP

    I keep a version of XP around on a Virtual Machine for just such purposes as yours. If you want to stick exclusively with Ubuntu, you might try WINE, but I have high doubts about whether that would work. WINE is finicky even with mainstream apps, and I suspect that the sort most vendors write for Android upgrades is so Windows dependant that they won't run on WINE. Aside from these workarounds, I don't know the answer to your problem.

    I doubt very much that this can be done using ubuntu.
