Graphic Problem on installation
Hello,
I just purchased an Acer N2620G nettop as i wanted to get it set up with Ubuntu (Shipped with a not so good Limpus distro). However, as soon as i get past the grub screen i just get crazy flishing colors of Red, purple, green etc.
I did a little googling and i think i know what i need to do, just not sure how to do it. From what i have found, this is known problem with the intel graphics drivers in the kernel. I'm asuming that a later release such as 3.10 will not have the same problem.
Can anyone help me with one of the folowing?
- Is it possible to boot the distro and install it while not loading the graphics portion? - This would then hopfully alow me to get ubuntu installed so i can update the kernel to 3.10?
- Is there a installation CD for ubuntu with a later kernel than 3.8?
- or, perhaps I'm way off the mark here and you guys actually have a real simple fix for me
Thanks
