    If you had no idea what's wrong, no matter, thanks for your time anyway I'm glad to see how this forum works and that there are people who will help you if you have problem.

    I'll reinstall Ubuntu and problem will be solved hopefully, anyhow I learned a lot about Linux during this problem solving and I'm looking forward to discover more and more about Linux.

    I got the wireless working by following the instructions. But it is not able to connect or scan the wifi connections available. Other devices are working fine. What should I do?

    I am on 12.04 LTS Dell Inspiron 15 3537.

    Post #3 worked for me. Yet only after removing *backports* package with a driver from repository.
