    Second disk out of control

I have a second disk which I use to store files for all users.
Recently the disk started to give some errors, and finally SMART give the message that there is an electrical problem. So, I changed the plug and disk stoped to give errors and noises. But after the second restart of the computer, Ubuntu don't read the disk any more. It recognizes it, but instead of the 40gb almost full, it shows an empty 9007 tb disk with no problem.
I don't know what to do to recover the disk or at least the information.
    Thank you in advance

Several restarts later, it fixed by its own. I had to mount it again, but no more false information were displayed

It's time to back it up and replace it. It may fail again without notice and without the ability to mount it. Ever.
