Hello guys, so I recently got back into Ubuntu after using Linux Mint 14 KDE for a long while... (I broke it.) So I gave Ubuntu another try and I loved 13.04, it's so fast and clean.
I'm using the newest Lubuntu out and I installed Minecraft as a test game to test my graphics drivers. I had this problem on Linux Mint, Ubuntu, ZorinOS, and Linux Lite, my
game will freeze for about a second every 3 or 4 seconds. Here's my specifications:

Athlon ii x4 640 (4 cores) clocked at 4.2 Ghz
2GB DDR3 Hynix Ram
Gigabyte 760-S2P motherboard
Galaxy GT 640 1GB Overclocked to 970Mhz core clock.

I don't think it'd be my ram since on Windows I recorded Minecraft just fine, but I wanted to use Ubuntu because I completely cleaned my hdd can my CD-Rom broke right after, so my Window discs didn't work at all, and I'm glad I use Lubuntu because it's fast and lightweight, but like to record too.
