Are gog.com about to support Linux

So I recently did an article titled "Will Gog.com Ever Support Linux On Its Store?", well looks like that may be coming true soon enough folks.

Thanks to a new job posting, it could come true, finally!

well DOS games are not an issue. Also some older windows games should work nicely in wine.
Read the easy to understand, lots of pics Ubuntu manual.
Do i need antivirus/firewall in linux?
Full disk backup (newer kernel -> suitable for newer PC): Clonezilla

There's already a bunch of games on GoG availble for Linux as well, it's just that GoG doesn't supply the native binaries. One example is Neverwinter Nights, which already sits in my collection.

It better for the sake of sanity. I've spent far too much time appealing to fellow Linux users in my attempt to make them aware of this request for this to take much longer!

Re: Are gog.com about to support Linux

The only games I have downloaded from GOG.com that don't work like a charm on WINE (either vanilla Wine, PlayOnLinux, or Codeweavers Crossover) were these games from 1998 that used like 8-bit graphics. I actually could have gotten them working in DOSBOX... but wasn't that nostalgic.

Personally, I don't think hiring one person means that GOG will support Linux, but the games work very well (usually right out of the box) anyways.
