    Question video editing question

I want to make personal videos instead of just writing, the reason i want to do it is becouse i want to make like a journal that i can watch to see if i have missed somting in my prodjects. But i would like to change background and since i just have a webcam and not alot of space and no expensive equiptment this is very difficult for me.
I just want to ask if there are any softwares that can make it easier to change the backround but not "me" and then if it would work on ubuntu.

There might be another thread about this but i am not familar with the search engine and could not find any posts "I found everything but any recorder or video editing software and advance search gave me an error wich may have to do to the fact that i have no idea how to use it."

You can use OpenShot for this as well as most other half-decent video editors.

The process you want to do is called chroma-keying (or green screen). I've not done it myself but it looks easy enough...

You might have a look at Ubuntu Studio, it has a lot of multimedia & video applications pre-installed.

You could take a look at Kdenlive as well. Then there is Cinelerra but IMHO a bit steeper learning curve and perhaps overkill for your purpose.
