three-finger motion to move window not working in 13.04

im using a six-month old acer v5-171. when i first bought it and installed 12.10, i used to be able to move windows with a three-finger motion. an upgrade to 13.04 has disabled that function. how can i get it back?

I'm not sure what you mean by "three-finger motion". I don't use 13.04, but in 10.04 and 12.04 I move windows by holding down the Alt key and dragging with the left mouse button.

yea exactly, but with 12.10 (at least with my machine), you were able to move windows as if you held down alt and dragged with the mouse button, but do so simply by hovering over the window and motioning with three fingers. no need to click. it was a really cool feature, i want it back...
