Can't login to original forum account

I've tried to follow the instructions found here to re-connect to my original forum account (qamelian - http://ubuntuforums.org/member.php?u=8229) without success. The email account I used when I first signed up here appears to be different from my GMail account, and when I try to add the email address I believe to be associated with my forum account to Ubuntu One, I get an error that the address is already associated with an account. Any suggestions as to what else I could try?

1. I've sent an email to the email address registered to the qamelian account.
2. I've disassociated this qamelian-darque forum account from the Ubuntu One SSO account

If you are able to pick up the email to the qamelian email address, please log out, change your Ubuntu One preferred email to that address and log in again. Hopefully, you will be logged into the qamelian account.

Thanks for your help. I haven't seen the email yet, but the forwarding from my ISP email account is sometimes not as quick as I'd like. I'll wait a while longer and let you know what happens.

I just got off the phone with my ISP. It appears that at some point after I set up forwarding to my GMail account, my email address was changed to eliminate the period between my first and last names. The rest of the address remains the same, but the the prefix is now just one word, rather than two separated by a period.

I received a mail delivery failure notification after sending to the email address with a period between the two names before the @. I've just sent another email to the same address, but with the period removed. So far no failure notification, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I got the email, and changed the preferred email address to the one you sent the email to, coffeecat, but sso is still logging me into this new account instead of my original. Any other suggestions?

Log out of the forum (and preferably SSO), then log back in.
