    Wireless for Backtrack...

I recently installed Backtrack 5r3 on my Dell Latitude D600, and I need to get my wireless working. From a previous thread I posted, I tried installing the firmware-b43-installer using apt-get (because this was the right package for Xubuntu which was previously installed on the computer), but I got this message:

    Code:
    E: Couldn't find package firmware-b43-installer
Is there a way to add a repository for the installer, or does something else need to happen?

    Thanks for any help!

Thread moved to Other OS/Distro Support.

I would recommend using Kali instead of BackTrack. It's based on the latest Debian instead of a 3 year old version of Ubuntu so it has more drivers for the latest hardware built in.

It's sad when people use os's that are obsolete and not updated anymore.
