i can't get it to run - i followed the howto but nothing happens when i try to run the program:

for some reason that command doesn't work, but running the .py file directly does.

$ sudo python /usr/share/system-config-lvm/ system-config-lvm.py

However, I'm having an issue of my own...

It seems to be running into an error and then having trouble finding its error-handling class.

When I modify the section of code to dump the error to the terminal, the command its trying to run is :

dmsetup /sbin/dmsetup table

and the error message it returns is:

/proc/misc: No entry for device-mapper found
Is device-mapper driver missing from kernel?
Failure to communicate with kernel device-mapper driver.

as to being unable to run it:

i borked my install by accident this week while attempting to set up a multi-boot situation. i just followed this howto on my (fairly) fresh install, and for whatever reason running "sudo system-config-lvm" works fine. bizarre, but i won't argue!

So I'm running Feisty Fawn and trying to get this going and here is what I am getting:

Um...so I set up my LVM layout wrong?

While using the GUI I chose to view the properties of my /home partition...and it says it's not resizable...none of them claim to be resizable...just trying to shrink my /home partition to make room for a new OS.
