added standard users, now can't find root

I had one account, "fred". I used account manager to create three new standard accounts, A, B, and C. Now "fred" is a standard account and I can't figure out how to regain root access. When I try to sudo to get myself out of this fix, it tells me that fred is not in the sudoers file.

    Hi ,

Did you convert Fred to a user by using the same name ? Meaning Fred administrator is now Fred user.
