pm-suspend with software raid 5

I have Ubuntu 12.04 running. 32 bit desktop edition. I have software RAID 5 running with 3 disks. type = ext4
Now I wonder.. is it dangerous for my RAID en its data to use pm-suspend?

Should I maybe run some command to spin down the disks or some command to make the raid finish syncing or something else?

Or is it safe to suspend the computer, since with pm-suspend everything in memory is kept in memory?
